About this course

About this course

Duo policies are a group of customizable access rules that allow Administrators to control and define who can access Duo-protected applications, and under what conditions. Policies are an instrumental part of administering Duo, whether you are just beginning your deployment or have protected many applications and have all of your users enrolled. Creating and modifying Policies allow administrators to tailor access to an organization’s Duo-protected applications based on the user, network, or device attempting to authenticate.  Administrators enforce policies to control how end-users enroll in Duo, complete 2FA, experience authentication, and much more.

This course will introduce you to the five core policy settings available in almost every Duo edition and set you off on the right track to implement more effective access control within your organization and customize how your end-users experience authentication with Duo. By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

    • Summarize how the policies can be used to control end-user access experience
    • Explain how a user’s enrollment state and account status relates to policy enforcement behavior
