About this course

There are a variety of user management approaches you can use to integrate Duo with your existing processes and infrastructure. This course will explore strategies to optimize the management of partially and fully enrolled users. We will examine configuration settings for Duo Administrators with the Owner and Administrator roles and enablement recommendations for Help Desk or User Manager administrators. This course will examine common user and device management considerations for users who are listed in the Admin Panel. By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify, define, and modify user account status
  • Explain the difference between enrollment, Active status, and Duo Mobile activation
  • Describe how to update synced account attributes using Directory Sync
  • Compare methods to complete enrollment for partially enrolled users
  • Apply strategies to effectively manage user licenses with Username Normalization and Username Aliases
  • Support common account management scenarios, including:
    • Updating user details
    • Activating/reactivating Duo Mobile on a phone or tablet
    • Adding additional 2FA devices
    • Handling lost or stolen devices
    • Deprovisioning/deleting user accounts
  • Locate key Duo resources to educate help desk administrators
